Earthquake of magnitude 4 hits Kashmir

An earthquake of magnitude 4 on the Richter Scale hit Kashmir on Sunday evening. The earthquake took place at a depth of 10 kilometres and tremors were felt at 6:56 pm, said a report issued by National Centre for Seismology (NCS) saying the tremors were felt 65 kilometres south-southeast of Pahalgam.

No casualties or damage of property have been reported so far. Earlier on Saturday, J&K was jolted by a magnitude 4.1 earthquake.
