A father-daughter duo is among the 14 new coronavirus cases in Kashmir detected on Thursday. The total in J&K has reached 314. No new case was detected from Jammu division today.
Among the new cases, a man and his daughter from Srinagarhave tested positive. Another daughter of the man had tested positiveyesterday. Dr S Saleem Khan, nodal officer COVID19 at GMC Srinagar said thatthree samples out of the total 279 tests carried out today were found positive.Another patient who tested positive today is from district Budgam, he said.
At SKIMS, 11 samples out of the 114 tested today were foundpositive. Six of these patients, he said, were admitted at SKIMS. “These areall from Bandipora,” he said. Four samples out of the total 32 sent fromdistrict Bandipora were also found to be positive.
A 23 year old male from Ganderbal with travel history toDelhi was found to be positive.
No sample tested positive today from district Budgam andBaramulla. Two patients, he said, were discharged from hospital after theirtests tuned out to be negative. One of these patients is a 21 year old man fromSrinagar who was admitted to the hospital in a very critical condition.
With the new cases, Kashmir division has reported 260 casesof coronavirus while Jammu has 54 cases.
Information bulletin on COVID19 said out of 314 positivecases, 272 are active positive, 38 have recovered and 04 have died.
Giving a detailed district-wise break up of the cases, itsaid, Srinagar has 78 positive cases wherein 65 are Active Positive, 12recovered and 01 has died, Bandipora 66 positive cases with 54 Active Positive,11 recovered and 01 died, Baramulla 42positive cases with 41 Active Positive, and 01 died; Kupwara has 25 positivecases and all are active cases; Shopian has 14 positive cases out of which 12are active positive, 02 recovered; Ganderbal has 14 positive cases which areall active cases, Budgam 12 positive cases of which 09 are Active Positive with03 recovered cases; Kulgam has 05 cases which are all active positive; Pulwama03 positive cases where 02 Active Positive, 01 recovered and Anantnag districthas 01 Positive cases which is active positive.
Similarly, Jammu has 26 positive cases of whom 23 are ActivePositive and 03 have recovered, Udhampur 20 positive cases of which 15 areActive Positive, 04 recovered and 01 died, while as Rajouri has 03 positivecases with 02 active positive, 01 recovered; Samba district has 04 positivecases which are all active positive. Kishtwar has only 01 positive case whichhas recovered.
Till date 58076 travellers and persons in contact withsuspected cases have been put under surveillance which include 7463 persons inhome quarantine including facilities operated by government, 265 in HospitalQuarantine, 272 in hospital isolation and 29366 under home surveillance.Besides, 20706 persons have completed their surveillance period.
