Efforts to clear the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway on Friday were hampered after shooting stones again hit the Digdol area, officials said.
The shooting stones came down about 15 times between 6 to 8pm as the authorities tried to clear some stranded vehicles. The highway wasagain closed around 8.30 pm.
District Development Commissioner Ramban, Showkat AijazBhat, inspected road clearance operation at Digdol. He asked the concernedofficers to ensure that all stranded passengers are provided adequatefacilities like food, accommodation and related utilities.
DDC urged upon the commuters to contact the traffic controlrooms before starting their journey on the highway.
