Fresh snowfall at Pir Ki Gali

Fresh snowfall at Pir Ki Gali and landslides from Shopian side of the road on Saturday led to suspension of traffic on the Mughal Road. However, the traffic was restored at 4 PM after the road was cleared.

The traffic remained suspended from early morning hours onSaturday, officials said.

   

Assistant engineer, Mughal Road Project, Liyaqit Ali toldGreater Kashmir that the road remained closed from Shopian side in the morningdue to a slide. “Later it got closed near Pir Ki Gali from Poonch side due tofresh snowfall,” he said.

However, he said the road clearance work was completed ataround 4 PM and thereafter the road was resorted for traffic.
