Fresh snowfall at Pir Ki Gali and landslides from Shopian side of the road on Saturday led to suspension of traffic on the Mughal Road. However, the traffic was restored at 4 PM after the road was cleared.
The traffic remained suspended from early morning hours on Saturday, officials said.
Assistant engineer, Mughal Road Project, Liyaqit Ali told Greater Kashmir that the road remained closed from Shopian side in the morning due to a slide. “Later it got closed near Pir Ki Gali from Poonch side due to fresh snowfall,” he said.
However, he said the road clearance work was completed at around 4 PM and thereafter the road was resorted for traffic.
