Heavy traffic jam was witnessed on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway in the Banihal-Jawahar Tunnel sector from Friday evening even as authorities did not allow fresh Kashmir-bound traffic.
Breakdown of several heavy vehicles at various places from Ramsu to Banihal contributed to the traffic jam.
Drivers said that they moved towards Kashmir only after a go-ahead from Traffic Police but have been stuck in traffic jam.
