'I didn't feel even'

The images of the Lieutenant Governor getting his first Covid vaccine jab on Thursday were speckled with lighter moments.

As soon as he sat to receive his shot, a woman health official, gearing up to administer the vaccine, began with usual comforting words: “Sir Aapko Ek Chhoti Si Sui Lagegi (you will be administered a small injection).” “No worries, Aap Badi Laga Do..(you may go for a big injection),” Sinha responded, evoking laughter in the room.

“I didn’t feel even,” was the first reaction of Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha after the jab was administered to him.

This was followed by another delightful moment as the health official reminded Sinha, like any other patient of her’s, of COVID protocol to be followed after the jab, “Congratulations Sir. You’ve been administered Covid vaccine. Now you’ll have to follow precautions which you’ve been following all along. You’ll get your second dose after 28 days and now you are supposed to go to the observation room for 30 minutes and there you’ll get the rest of the details.” “Ok,” the Lt Governor nodded as a reassurance to this piece of advice, before leaving and thanking all those present there.
