Indian and Pakistani armies on Friday exchanged heavy gunfire in Baba Khori and Kalal areas of Nowshera sector and Mankote area of Krishna Ghati sector of Rajouri and Poonch districts respectively.
As per official sources, cross LoC firing in Mankote area of Krishna Ghati in Mendhar started at about 7 AM on Friday and continued for three hours.
Both sides exchanged both small arms fire as well as mortal shells in the area and Pak-fired mortar shells landed in civil population, said sources.
However, no loss of life took place on both army and civilian side.
On the other hand, cross LoC firing in Baba Khori and Kalal areas of Nowshera sector started at about 9 AM on Friday and lasted for two hours during which both sides exchanged heavy gunfire.
Some houses have received partial damage in shelling, sources said.
