LG dedicates Free Ambulance Service to people

Lieutenant Governor Girish Chandra Murmu today dedicated the 102/108 Free Ambulance Service to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

The Lt Governor observed that the operationalization of102/108 Ambulance Service would ensure the delivery of public health careservices to the patients at their doorsteps. It will provide round the clocktransportation to the patients requiring immediate medical care, especially

   

critical, accidental victims,pregnant women and sick children.

The Lt Governor laid specialemphasis on reaching out with prompt Emergency Medical Services to the people,particularly those residing in far flung and difficult pockets of the UT.  He stressed on minimizing the response timeof the Ambulance service and called for increasing the fleet of ambulancesthrough pooling of various funding sources like CSR, MPLAD, UT Capital Fundetc. to saturate the service.
