The government has directed all Administrative Secretaries to hear public grievances on a daily basis from 1 pm.
In a circular, the General Administration Department said ithas issued instructions from time to time to the administrative secretaries notto schedule any meetings during the time meant for these hearings.
The Governor has also directed that all administrativesecretaries should undertake field visits on a weekly basis to review importantstate and centrally sponsored schemes, developmental works and other relatedmatters of their departments.
They have been directed to submit a status report of theirfield visits to the Chief Secretary that would, among other things, highlightthe issues that need intervention for timely completion of projects.
