BJP National General Secretary, Ram Madhav, is arriving here on Thursday for a meeting with party leaders, a senior BJP leader told Greater Kashmir.
He said the security of BJP workers and return of statehood to J&K are the agenda items for the meeting. “Yesterday we passed a resolution that statehood should be given back to J&K.”
Madhav visit comes close on the heels of Gupkar Declaration passed by J&K’s six mainstream political parties demanding restoration of special status and statehood to J&K.
The senior leader said that the meeting will discuss security issues of BJP workers. “Many Panchayat workers have been kept at isolated places (for want of security) and it has affected the party functioning,” he said.
