Militants attack patrolling party in Pulwama village

Suspected militants attacked a patrolling party of J&K Police and CRPF in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district Thursday evening.  However, the attack caused no damage.

According to sources, militants fired upon the patrollingparty of near Below village in Pulwama district at about 7:30 pm. The forcespersonnel retaliated the fire, however after a brief exchange of the fire themilitants escaped from the spot without any damage to either side.

   

Soon, the forces personnel cordoned off the area.

“Militants have attacked CRPF and JKP deployments atBelow crossing. The deployment had been made to enforce restriction in light ofcovid-19 threat,” SSP Pulwama, Ashish Mishra said.

The incident created panic in the village.
