The Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Thursday returned to Srinagar after facing three-day-long questioning at the National Investigation Agency (NIA) headquarters in New Delhi.
Mirwaiz was quizzed by the NIA sleuths in an alleged militancy funding case. He landed at the Srinagar airport on Thursday evening and drove to his Nigeen residence.
Mirwaiz had earlier refused to go to New Delhi, citing security concerns and “hostile atmosphere” there.
The NIA had, however, in its third summon to Mirwaiz assured that his security concerns will be taken care of.
