The Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Thursday returned to Srinagar after facing three-day-long questioning at the National Investigation Agency (NIA) headquarters in New Delhi.
Mirwaiz was quizzed by the NIA sleuths in an allegedmilitancy funding case. He landed at the Srinagar airport on Thursday eveningand drove to his Nigeen residence.
Mirwaiz had earlier refused to go to New Delhi, citingsecurity concerns and “hostile atmosphere” there.
The NIA had, however, in its third summon to Mirwaiz assuredthat his security concerns will be taken care of.
