The National Investigation Agency has summoned Peoples Democratic Party leader and former MLA, Mir Aijaz Ahmad, to its Jammu office for questioning into a weapons-loot incident at his Jawahar Nagar residence last year.
The summon was served to Mir by policemen from Zainapora police station in Shopian district, the native place of the PDP leader. Mir has been asked to appear before the probe agency on April 12.
Suspected militants had looted seven weapons from Mir’s official residence at Jawahar Nagar in 2018.
Later, the case was taken over by the NIA.
