The northern army commander lieutenant general Ranbir Singh arrived in Srinagar on Friday to review the prevailing security situation, officials said.
“The army commander visited units/formations along the Lineof Control and hinterland in northern Kashmir. He was briefed by the commandersabout the prevailing security situation. The army commander complimented thetroops
for their relentless efforts in thwarting the adversary’sdesigns. He also lauded the exemplary synergy among all the forces, appreciatedthe actions taken by the units/formations in ensuring safety and wellbeing ofpeople residing in vicinity of the Line of Control,” a Srinagar-based armyspokesman said in a statement.
