Government today assigned different tasks for COVID19 management to its senior officers in Jammu and Kashmir.
As per an order issued by General Administration Departmenthere today, Financial Commissioner, Finance Department, Dr Arun Kumar Mehtashall coordinate with banks and maintain smooth flow of funds to the public.
Principal Secretary, Home Department, Shaleen Kabra;Principal Secretary of School Education Department, Dr Asgar Samoon; andSecretary, Higher Education, Talat Parveez Rahella, have been tasked to”mobilize volunteers, training and deployment for assistance of administrationin COVID19 management”.
Principal Secretary, Housing and Urban DevelopmentDepartment, Dheeraj Gupta shall coordinate with Urban Local Bodies includingelected representatives, for COVID19 management activities with focus onsanitation drives, and fumigation.
The order provides that Principal Secretary, Agriculture andHorticulture Department, Navin Kumar Choudhary shall ensure restoration ofagriculture activities while maintaining social distance.
Principal Secretary, Social Welfare Department, ShailenderaKumar, as per the order, shall monitor the smooth functioning of old age home,child care institutions, observation homes, besides coordinating with policefor utilizing their helpline for senior citizens.
Administrative Secretary, Disaster Management, Relief,Rehabilitation and Reconstruction shall constitute COVID coordinationcommittees or groups.
Meanwhile, Secretary Rural Development and Panchayati Raj,Sheetal Nanda shall assist Health and Medical Education Department forperforming coordination of production, distribution and outreach of masks so asto achieve universal mask usage in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Nanda will coordinate and outreach though Panchayati RajInstitutions for public mobilization, to ensure social distancing forprevention of spread of COVID19.
