PM Modi slams Omar’s remarks, targets ‘grand alliance’ parties

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Monday demanded to know from the Congress and the grand alliance parties if they supported National Conference leader Omar Abdullah’s reported pitch for a separate Prime Minister for Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing a poll rally here, Modi referred to Omar Abdullahsaying “we want a situation where J&K has a separate Prime Minister”.

   

He demanded that ‘mahagathbandhan’ leaders come clean on theissue and clarify if they supported Omar’s comments.

“Two prime ministers for Hindustan? Do you agree with it?Congress has to answer and all the ‘mahagathbandhan’ partners have to answer.What are the reasons and how dare he (Omar) say that,” he said.

Modi said he also wants to ask Trinamool chief and WestBengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee, former prime minister H D Deve Gowda,Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and NCP supremo Sharad Pawarwhether they agreed with Omar’s statement.

“I want to ask Bengal Didi who shouts a lot, do you agreewith it?. Answer the people U-turn (Chandrababu) Babu with whom Farooq Abdullahcampaigned recently in Andhra Pradesh. Do you think Naidu should get votes?”NCP’s Sharad Pawar and Gowda, whose son is Karnataka Chief Minister H DKumaraswamy, should also answer, he said.

“Would you like to go with them (Mahagathbandhan) or break away from them?” Modi asked.
