Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Bandipora Raja Mohammad Tasleem Monday directed the Special Investigation Team (SIT) investigating the Bandipora minor girl's alleged rape, to file status report along with case diary on Tuesday before the court.
The SIT has been constituted to investigate the alleged rapeof a minor Bandipora girl. The CJM directed it to file the report positively onTuesday before the court.
"Allegedly accused (sic) named in the case has committedrape upon a minor girl of three years age some days back. In this connectionreportedly a SIT has been constituted to investigate the matter," reads anorder issued by CJM.
It reads, "The occurrence has taken an ugly turn and hasalso created a law and order problem in the entire district and there is a publicoutcry . . . . Keeping into account facts and circumstances of the case andalso gravity of offence, concerned SIT is directed to submit a status report ofthe matter positively by 14/05/2019 along with CD file." The court said: "TheSIT shall also send a member of investigation team who is well acquainted withthe matter and shall apprise this court with regard to matter in question." Thecase has been posted for Tuesday.
On May 8, a minor girl was allegedly raped by her neighbourin Bandipora district. Police have already arrested the accused.
