Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Bandipora Raja Mohammad Tasleem Monday directed the Special Investigation Team (SIT) investigating the Bandipora minor girl’s alleged rape, to file status report along with case diary on Tuesday before the court.
The SIT has been constituted to investigate the alleged rape of a minor Bandipora girl. The CJM directed it to file the report positively on Tuesday before the court.
“Allegedly accused (sic) named in the case has committed rape upon a minor girl of three years age some days back. In this connection reportedly a SIT has been constituted to investigate the matter,” reads an order issued by CJM.
It reads, “The occurrence has taken an ugly turn and has also created a law and order problem in the entire district and there is a public outcry . . . . Keeping into account facts and circumstances of the case and also gravity of offence, concerned SIT is directed to submit a status report of the matter positively by 14/05/2019 along with CD file.” The court said: “The SIT shall also send a member of investigation team who is well acquainted with the matter and shall apprise this court with regard to matter in question.” The case has been posted for Tuesday.
On May 8, a minor girl was allegedly raped by her neighbour in Bandipora district. Police have already arrested the accused.
