A BSF soldier shot himself dead in north-Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Wednesday, police said.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Kupwara Shriram Ambarkar said that the soldier shot himself with his service rifle while on duty in Tanghdar sector.
He identified the deceased as Head Constable Bharinder Singh of 118 Battalion.
Police has taken cognizance and registered case in this regard.
