Stranded vehicles head towards Kashmir

After four days authorities on Thursday allowed stranded vehicles on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway to move towards Kashmir.

Frequent traffic snarls were witnessed on the 270-km highwayfrom Nashri tunnel to Banihal. “Goods laden trucks and other vehicles wereallowed to move towards Srinagar this morning. Though traffic moved at slowpace but the highway remained through for the entire day,” said an official.

   

Meanwhile, residents of Ramban, Banihal and other highwaytowns on the National Highway said the traffic jams have become a routineaffair and they are suffering.
