The Srinagar-Jammu national highway was resorted for traffic on Wednesday after its closure due to heavy landslides at Mehar area in this district.
Reports said a fresh landslide blocked led to suspension of traffic from both sides this morning. However, the authorities pressed into service men and machinery for clearing the debris and the road was restored late in the afternoon.
An official said owing to the landslide hundreds of load carriers from both sides were stopped by the traffic police from moving towards respective destination, at Karool, Chanderkote, Nashri, Udhampur, Ramban and Seri.
