15 doctors terminated for unauthorised absence from duty

Health and Medical Education Department on Friday terminated services of 15 doctors for unauthorized absence from duties.

An official said their termination was ordered on the basis of an inquiry report by inquiry officer, Associated Hospitals, Government Medical College, Jammu, Amit Sharma.

   

Sharma was appointed as the inquiry officer to look into the charges of unauthorized absence from duties of 22 doctors including three consultants and 19 Medical Officers.

The Director, Health Services Jammu had also issued show cause notices to these doctors who were pursuing higher studies outside J&K, without prior permission from competent authority.

“On the basis of the inquiry report and in view of the rules governing the subject, the cases have been examined thoroughly in the department. It has been decided to remove the services of 15 doctors who did not resume their duties and continued to remain unauthorizedly absent,” reads the order issued by Financial Commissioner, Health and Medical Education Department, Atal Dulloo.

Those who have been terminated are: Dr Sushil Sharma, , Dr Mukesh Kumar Sharma, Dr Ravinder Singh, Dr Jahangir Ahmed Naseem, Dr Immia Bukhari, Dr Deepak Bharti, Dr Maneesh Kumar Sharma, Dr Vinod Kumar, Dr Raj Kumar, Dr Rajinder Kumar, Dr Mehroz Ahmed, Dr Anil Kumar Parihar, Dr Gagan Deep Singh, and Dr Anupma Bavouria.
