Six persons died of COVID19 while 156 tested positive for the novel coronavirus across Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, health department officials said.
The six fresh deaths have taken the COVID19 death toll in J&K to 1875 while the coronavirus positive cases have climbed to 1,20,293.
Of the fresh cases, 90 were recorded in Kashmir and 66 in Jammu division, the officials said.
Jammu recorded the highest of 56 cases, followed by 34 in Srinagar district.
The number of active cases has dropped to 3157 while 1,15,261 patients have recovered so far, the officials said. Five of the fresh deaths were reported from Kashmir and one from Jammu division.
