As many as 7 out of 18 inspected medical shops at Mendhar were sealed for violation of norms established under Drugs Cosmetics Act 1940 by a team of Assistant Controller Drug Poonch, Tehsildar Mendhar, Drugs Inspectors and police, on Thursday.
An official said, “The medical shops, including Sharma Medicos, Tariq Medical Hall, Nisar Medical Hall, Mughal First Aid, Shamsher Medicos, Dutta Medicos and Mehtab Medical Hall, were sealed by the team for not keeping records, hygiene and keeping expired drugs. The team also collected drug samples for lab test and quality check.”
