Governor’s Adviosr K Vijay Kumar today visited newly constructed building of Sub-District Hospital (SDH), Dooru.
An official spokesman said that the Director Health Services, Kashmir and CMO, Anantnag informed the Advisor that new building of SDH Dooru, getting constructed at an estimated cost of Rs.21.17 crore, is executed by Police Housing Corporation.
The MLA Dooru Syed Farooq Indrabi also met the Advisor to apprise him with various issues related to his constituency. Besides, other facilities, the MLA requested the Advisor for providing a central heating system and other facilities for the hospital.
Various deputations including Auqaf Committee Dooru and Traders Federation Dooru also had meetings with Kumar.
During these meetings, the delegations requested the Advisor to make the hospital functional soon.
The delegations also appealed the Advisor to ensure that old SDH also remains functional so that the population of the adjacent areas shall not suffer due to its closure. Kumar also chaired a high-level meeting at DIG south headquarters at Anantnag to review the security situation with senior police and security officers of South Kashmir.
