In a major relief to the patients in need of emergency care, the authorities at new district hospital Ganderbal have made the blood storage unit functional.
Medical Superintendent of district hospital Ganderbal DrMehraj ud din Sofi told the Greater Kashmir, “Blood storage unit is nowfunctional in district hospital Ganderbal, anybody who wants to donate bloodcan contact the hospital authorities.”
The non-availability of any blood storage unit at the hospitalwas causing huge problems to the emergency patients in need of blood.Civil society Ganderbal has hailed the hospitaladministration for making the much needed storage unit functional, saying thefacility would save precious lives in emergency cases.
