A team of doctors posted at sub district hospital Kangan on Monday conducted an advanced pancreatic surgery of a patient.
The team included Dr Faroze Khan, consultant surgeon , Dr Arshiya and Dr Faheem Patloo consultant anaesthesia alongwith paramedical staff ,Farooq , Gowhar , Showkat , Hilal , Yakoob , Amina and Mushtaq .
“The patient was extensively evaluated with biochemical and radiological investigations. He was explained all the intra and post operative details before proceeding. Frey’s Procedure is a complex surgery which needs great surgical skills and expertise.”In this procedure main pancreatic duct is opened to remove the stones and head of pancreas is cored out,” a health official told Greater Kashmir.
