Amid Coronavirus threat, the administration has started a fumigation drive in the district, as a precautionary measure.
Anofficial said on the directions of Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal ShafqatIqbal, a team of official from municipal council Ganderbal conducted the driveat different public places, including hospitals in Ganderbal and Kangan towns.
Thedrive was supervised by chairman, municipal council Ganderbal, advocate AltafAhmed. The teams visited different localities to carry out the fumigation.
An official said the drivewill continue and more public places, particularly religious places will befumigated.
People from otherlocalities including Gund, Wakura, Tulmulla, Lar and Safapora have urgedadministration to carry fumigation in their areas as well.
