Governor attends 3rd anniversary of SMVDNSS Hospital

Governor Satya Pal Malik, who is also chairman of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, attended the function organised to mark the third anniversary of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, (SMVDNSSH), situated at Kakryal.

The function was held at the Matrika Auditorium of the ShriMata Vaishno Devi University.

   

Devi Prasad Shetty, chairman and founder of Narayana Health;Ashok Bhan, Member of SMVDSB; Maj. Gen. (Retd.) SK Sharma,  Chairman of the Governing body of the SMVDCollege of Nursing; Simrandeep Singh, CEO SMVDSB, Indu Chib, DeputyCommissioner Reasi were among the dignitaries present on the occasion, anofficial spokesperson said.

Governor complimented the staff of the hospital for comingup to the expectations of people in providing quality tertiary care to patientsat an affordable cost. He observed that the success stories of the hospital area reflection of the professional capabilities of the doctors and staff here andpledged full support on behalf of the Shrine Board to the hospital in providingthe best quality healthcare to the patients.

Governor stated that a person associated with the medicalprofession is serving mankind in a true sense. For an ailing person and hisattendants, a doctor and caring nurse is nothing less than a life saving divineintervention. Expressing concern over occasional unfortunate incidents ofconfrontation between medical staff and attendants of patients, Governorexpressed that secure working conditions should be provided to the medicalstaff so that they could deliver professional patient care.

Governor congratulated Dr Tsering Landol; Dr GQ Allaqabandand Dr CD Gupta, who were felicitated, on the occasion, in recognition of theirlife time contributions in the medical profession.

Governor launched new palanquins and jackets for portersdesigned by IIT Bombay and National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE)on behalf of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.

Later, the Governor also visited the SMVD Narayana Hospitaland inspected facilities there. He interacted with the patients and enquiredabout their wellbeing.
