Medical negligence: Kichloo seeks inquiry into woman’s death

While  expressing anguish over the death of a lady patients due to negligence of doctors at District Hospital Kishtwar ,Senior National Conference leader and Member Legislative Assembly, Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo on Monday sought an  inquire in the incident .

As per press statement, Kichloo sought inquiry and appropriate action against the alleged doctor in District Hospital, Kishtwar for the negligence.

   

Describing the incident as inhuman, Kichloo said the carelessness of doctors led to the death of the deceased lady, who was suffering from stone problem and  after the surgery, a piece of cotton is reported to have remained inside the abdomen due to which her condition deteriorated. After her condition became critical she was referred to Government Medical College Hospital, Jammu for further treatment but in unknown circumstances she was again referred to Srinagar for required treatment, said Kichloo.

The statement added that due to the avoidable travelling and infection having spread in her body, the lady was declared dead by the doctors at Srinagar.

Demanding immediate suspension of the alleged doctor,  Kichloo sought setting of an enquiry committee to fix the responsibility. He assured the people that justice will definitely be delivered to the family of the deceased and asked the government for release of adequate compensation.
