SCD seek fulfillment of ‘genuine’ demands

Society of Consultant Doctors (SCD) J&K on Thursday sought redress of their long pending demanding.

In a statement the SCD said various issues pertaining toconsultant community including filling up of existing consultant posts onfast-track basis, implementation of promotion scheme on analogy of GMC facultyand more administrative powers to consultants to run their departments/unitsshould be fulfilled on priority basis

   

The statement quoting SCD president Maajed Jehangir, saidall senior administrative posts should be filled on basis of seniority inrespective cadres and there should be provision of security and implementationof zero tolerance policy towards violence on medical/paramedical personnel,risk allowance and post-graduate increments for them and vacation forconsultants on the analogy of HME consultants.

“Finally, no administrator should be allowed to indulge inprivate practise whether they opt for NPA or not…,” said the he statement.”The successive governments have paid no heed to our genuine demands.Consultants have now pinned high hopes on the Governor’s administration and werequest him to redress our issues in time bound manner.”
