Every student from Kashmir not a separatist: Punjab CM

"We have got thousands of children from Kashmir who are studying in colleges in Punjab. Every child from Kashmir is not an extremist," he added.

Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh has said that every student from Kashmir is not a separatist.

“Police so far have not established any link between the Pakistan spy agency (ISI) and Kashmiri students who were arrested recently in Jalandhar for having alleged links with the militants,” Times of India quoted Punjab CM as having said.

"We have got thousands of children from Kashmir who are studying in colleges in Punjab. Every child from Kashmir is not an extremist," he added.

It is in place to mention here last week, in a joint operation, Punjab Police and the special operations group of Jammu and Kashmir Police had claimed to have busted a militant module of Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGH) by arresting the three students from Kashmir.

The students were arrested from the hostel of an institute of engineering management and technology, located in Shahpur, on the outskirts of Jalandhar. The joint team had claimed that it seized two weapons, including an assault rifle, and explosives from the hostel room of a BTech (civil) student. (ToI)
