Is Anybody Listening? | ‘Develop more oriental colleges on modern lines’

Jamia-Madinat ul Uloom oriental college is an educational unit of J&K Muslim Wakf Board. Currently, this institution is providing both modern as well as oriental education to its students. Four years back, the Wakf board introduced two more classes(9th & 10th) in the same institution in order to provide basic modern education to their students in addition to their oriental subjects. This step is encouraged by all parents and other sections of Hazratbal area. This step also creates a big hope among the oriental student community to achieve modern education so that they may be able to get employment opportunities in the near future. We, the residents of Hazratbal area, are requesting the J&K Muslim Wakf board to develop more oriental colleges on modern lines, so that their wards may be able to get quality education in the near future. We also request the Chief Executive of Muslim Wakf board to provide permanent subject teacher faculty to the same college so that students may not suffer in any way in terms of quality education.

Poor network connectivity in Tulail

We, the people of Tulail valley (Gurez), are facing a lot of inconveniences because we do not have a single landline or 2G network in the times when the world is preparing for 5G network. For a single call, people have to travel about 45-50 km to reach Dawar, where they can find a network in mobile phones. Students suffer most because of this. Several Jio towers were installed in Tulail but are not functional. These include towers at Baranayee, Jurniyal, Mazgund, Niru, Saradab, Baduaab, Gujran, Badugam etc.

Power shortage in Parimpora

We, the residents of Parimpora, Srinagar, are facing the shortage of electricity since October. In Parimpora the power is supplied only for 2 to 3 hours a day. It causes inconvenience to the people in general and the children in particular. They are not able to study at night. Many people depend on electricity for a living. We pay the electricity bills on time and yet are facing power cuts. We request the authorities to redress the above-stated issue.
