Residents of Khan Mohalla, Chanapora demand macadamization of lane

We, the residents of Khan Mohalla Chanapora, want to bring to the notice of the R&B department the pathetic condition of our lane. Two years back, some government department constructed an underground drain in our locality. However, they left the road uneven. This was followed by the laying of a 6-inch pipe by the PHE department for water supply. The contractor concerned left the water pipe exposed to outside at various places in the lane, thereby adding to our misery. The lane becomes a source of problem for the commuters, especially during rain and snowfalls. It gets drenched in water, causing a lot of inconvenience. We, the residents, appeal to the concerned R&B division to take notice of our problems and initiate an early action by macadamization of the lane without any further delay for the speedy redressal of our grievance.

Address the grievance of teaching aspirants

We, the teaching aspirants of Srinagar, Kashmir, want to bring to the kind notice of higher authorities that there are thousands of highly qualified teaching professionals in Kashmir who are eagerly waiting for their jobs in the government sector but unfortunately, the J&K government has not framed any fruitful policy to adjust these teaching professionals. There is a huge vacancy of teacher posts in J&K, but unfortunately, these vacancies are being filled up by previously appointed RET teachers without considering the problems which are created for fresh teaching professionals by this step. Thousands of youths in J&K are currently pursuing Bachelor of Education degrees, but they will not be able to get jobs after they complete their studies. We make a sincere appeal to the concerned authorities to some step in this regard so that the aspirants get government jobs.

Residents of Nowpora, Sopore demand cleaning of canal

We, the residents of Nowpora, Sopore, want to draw the attention of higher authorities towards the canal Nehre Zaingeer which originates from the mountains of Bandipora and irrigates thousands of kanals of paddy fields in Nowpora. Its branch, which arises from a point at Saidpora, reaches Nowpora fields through Shalimar Colony near Sufi saint Ahad Bab’s shrine. The said canal has got blocked due to the continuous dumping of garbage into it. This has prevented the flow of water to the paddy fields. The farmers of the area are in utmost trouble due to a shortage of water. We now request the concerned authorities to take immediate steps in this regard and initiate cleaning of the canal so as to ensure the uninterrupted flow of water to the paddy fields.
