2 Assistant Public Prosecutors transferred to Ladakh UT, 2 repatriated

Home Department has placed the services of Prosecuting Officers of J&K Prosecution Services at disposal of the administration of Union Territory of Ladakh.

“In terms of section 89 of the J&K Reorganization Act, 2019, and as a provisional measure the prosecuting officers are transferred and their services placed at the disposal of administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh, on deputation basis,” reads the Government order.

   

It states that Assistant Public Prosecutor in Court of Munsiff, Charar-i-Sharief/Chadoora Wasiq Umer and Assistant Public Prosecutor in the Court of Munsiff, Banihal Ravi Kant Samyal shall be deemed to have been relieved and shall report to the Home Department of the Union Territory of Ladakh for further posting without availing the joining time.

The transferred Assistant Public Prosecutors were ordered to handover the case files pertaining to their respective courts to the prosecutors Assistant PP in the Court of Sub Judge Chadoora, Mohammed Wajahat and Assistant PP in the court of CJM, Ramban, Jaswant Raj to their respective courts, the order reads.

“Consequent upon the above, Assistant Public Prosecutor in the court of Munsiff, Nubra/Khaltsi, Abdul Rashid Dar, and Assistant Public Prosecutor in the court of Munsiff, Sankoo/Drass, Bilal Ahmed Lone – presently on deputation to UT of Ladakh are hereby repatriated to the Union Territory of J&K and shall await for further order of postings in the office of Director Prosecution, Kashmir, reads the order.

Meanwhile, Abdul Rashid Dar and Bilal Ahmed Lone shall hand over the case files to the incumbents before leaving the station.
