3 pc ‘vote mafia’ mishandling Kashmir: Renzushah

Khawaja Farooq Renzushah, chairman Kashmir Society International (KSI) on Thursday said that there has been a rise in incidents of youth suicide, consumption of alcohol, drug abuse and crime against women in Kashmir due to mishandling of the region by “3% vote mafia”.

Speaking at a function organised by Ezair Commercia coachingpride here, Renzushah appreciated the youth of his time who according to himraised strong voice for scrapping the Alcohol Bill passed in the LegislativeAssembly in between 1975-80. 

   

Speaking about the contemporary time period, he said, “Thereis an unrest in Kashmir valley now because of certain measures against theteaching of Sufi Awaliyas.”

He said that women in Kashmir are subject to discriminationand are victims of domestic violence but criminals are given free hands.    

Renzushah also took on a section of religious leaders whoaccording to him talk of banning drugs in their statements but don’t raisevoice for scrapping Bill which allowed use of wine in J&K particularly inKashmir where it is prohibited from era of Hazrat Bulbulshah (RA) and HazratAmir Kabir (RA).  

The KSI chairman further said that it is very necessary tomake Sufiyat compulsory in Kashmir by introducing the knowledge of the subjectin the textbooks. 

Renzushah said that the talented Kashmiri youth must have tocome forward to liberate Kashmir from the clutches of 3% vote mafias who havepushed the youth towards drugs and other crimes by not giving them adequateemployment opportunities.   

Chairmen of Ezair Commercia, Ezair Ahmad Bhat and ZahoorAhmad Bhat appreciated the management of the institute for organizing such aprestigious programme participated by editors, correspondents and highlyqualified youth of Kashmir.
