Additional secretary, cooperative department Surjeet Singh passed away on Wednesday after brief illness. A 2001-batch KAS officer passed away at Naryana Hospital in Jammu.
Advisor tothe Governor, Khurshid Ahmed Ganai, and chief secretary, B V R Subrahmanyamcondoled the demise and expressed sympathies with the bereaved family members.They prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul. “The late officer will be in our thoughts andprayers,” chief secretary said.
The KASofficer’s association has expressed grief and shock over the demise. In acondolence meeting convened by association president Tasaduq Hussain Mir, theoffice bearers of the association and other officers expressed shock over thedemise of their colleague. They prayed for eternal peace to the departed souland forbearance to the bereaved family at this hour of grief.
