Amit Shah attacks Omar, Mehbooba and Rahul in campaign speeches

President of Bharatiya Janata Party Amit Shah Wednesday said that his party would never allow restoration of Wazir-e-Azam and Sadr-e-Riyasat for Jammu and Kashmir even if it sat in opposition after the upcoming parliamentary elections.

Shah made the assertion during his campaign speeches atrallies in Udhampur, responding to recent comments made by former chiefminister and National Conference leader Omar Abdullah about his party’s demandof restoration of the state’s autonomy and bringing back the titles of PrimeMinister and President for the state.

“I want to tell Omar that this is Narendra Modi’s governmentin the center and not of Congress. Even if we sit in opposition, our party willnever let it happen. We will sacrifice our lives to ensure that J&K remainsan integral part of India,” Shah said.

Shah also attacked Mehbooba Mufti and Rahul Gandhi.

“Not just Rahul, I also want to make it crystal clear toMehbooba Mufti and their (PDP chief and NC president’s) patron Rahul Gandhithat until there is BJP in the country, their dream of separate PM in J&Kshall remain only a dream.”

The BJP president criticised Congress party for promising inits manifesto that it will bring an amendment to AFSPA if elected to power inNew Delhi.

“On the one hand we sacrificed two of our deputy CMs,Kavinder Gupta and Nirmal Singh, when we’re pressurized by PDP to repeal AFSPAand withdrew support to Mehbooba Mufti. On the other hand, Congress itself ispromising to dilute AFSPA. It is very shameful,” Shah said.

“This is Narendra Modi’s government which will never letanyone dilute AFSPA. We’re standing like a wall of rock against those makingattempts to weaken our security forces. AFSPA will never be repealed.”

Shah claimed that BJP withdrew support to the coalitiongovernment led by Mehbooba Mufti because the latter demanded what Congress haspromised in its election manifesto.

“We cannot compromise with issues of security and I amdivulging for the first time that BJP stepped down from government in the stateon AFSPA dilution row,” The BJP president said.

Shah also claimed that the Congress party had never framed apolicy to deter militancy.

“When our unarmed soldiers were killed in Uri, we retaliatedwith surgical strikes and later when over 40 of our soldiers were killed inPulwama, we discharged payloads of ammunition in Balakote to teach the enemy alesson for life,” the BJP president boasted.

“I wonder why the Congress, NC and PDP leaders were upset. They were feeling like they’d lost their cousins in our airstrikes. Let me makeit clear that if Pakistan will fire a bullet, we will reply with a bomb.”

Besides the J&K state leaders Omar Abdullah and MehboobaMufti, the BJP president constantly targeted Congress party president RahulGandhi during his campaign speeches.

“Do whatever you want to do in your government. But in ourgovernment, every militant who fires a bullet on our soldiers will get a bombin response.”
