Arfan Wani sent to JIC Jammu

The arrested youth, Arfan Hussain Wani, who is suspected to be linked to Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind was sent to the Joint Interrogation Centre (JIC), Jammu.

Wani, a resident of village Dangerpora of Awantipora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, was arrested on Sunday by Gandhi Nagar Police.

“Wani is being interrogated about plots and sleeping cells by the investigating agencies,” sources said. Earlier, police termed arrest of Wani as major breakthrough and claimed that they foiled a plan to trigger explosions in New Delhi and Jammu on the eve of Independence Day.

An FIR number 117/2018 under section 120B,121/Ranbir Penal Court, 20/21 Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act  ,7/25 Arms Act, 4/5 Explosive Substance act was lodged against the accused at Police Station Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
