Army officer among 4 killed in separate road accidents

An Army captain was among four people killed in four separate road accidents in Jammu on Monday.

Captain Naveeta Ranjan, a resident of Rajasthan’s Jaipur,was killed after she lost control over her private car, which skidded off theroad and rammed into a concrete shed near Ghari village in Rehmbal area, anofficial said.

   

He said the critically injured officer was rushed tohospital, where she breathed her last.

The official said a father-son duo was killed when their carplunged into a canal after being hit by a bus at Domana in outskirts of thecity on Jammu-Akhnoor Road.

The deceased were identified as Rampal Sharma and his sonSayan Sharma, residents of Doomi-Sobka village, the official said.

In two separate road accidents one person was killed whilesix others were seriously injured in Rajouri district.

An official said that a car on way to Nowshera from Jammurammed into a roadside rock near Garn Morh, resulting in injuries to sixpersons.

All the injured were taken to sub district hospital Nowsherawhere doctors declared 60 years old Kuldeep Singh son of Balwant Singh of Nonialas brought dead.

The official said five other persons received criticalinjuries and were undergoing treatment at different hospitals.

The official said another accident took place when amotorcycle collided with an Army vehicle near Lam Laroka area. The motorcyclistSanjeev Kumar of Laroka was critically injured in the accident. He was shiftedto GMCH Jammu for treatment.
