Atal Dulloo reviews quarantine facilities at Jmu

Financial Commissioner, Health and Medical Education Department, Atal Dulloo Saturday visited different hospitals of Jammu to review quarantine facilities established for suspected cases, amid Coronavirus threat.

He directed the officials to put in their best efforts toprevent spread of virus and asked them to intensify efforts to find anyone whomight have come in contact with the suspected cases.

   

Hesaid proper guidelines need to be followed while dealing with the evolvingCoronavirus situation.

He interacted with thequarantined persons and enquired about their wellbeing and facilities beingprovided to them. He assured them that adequate measures were being put inplace for their safety.

Dulloo directed theofficials that all suspected cases should complete the quarantine period fullyand their results should come negative twice and after that they should beallowed to leave the facility.

He asked the officials notto take any chances and follow the guidelines with utmost care besides advisingthe quarantined people to cooperate with the administration which was vital fortheir wellbeing and their family.

During his visit to the quarantine facility at BhagwatiNagar, Dulloo asked the officials to follow health guidelines and provide everyfacility to the patients.

He was informed that adequate facilities were being providedto the quarantined persons. He was informed that bedding was being continuouslychanged and proper guidelines were being followed while dealing with thesituation.

Dulloo also reiterated his call that all departments shouldwork in convergence for creating awareness in community about the disease andthe precautions to be taken. He also directed the officials not to share namesof the quarantined people to the media, citing privacy.

AtGovernment Hospital Sarwal the FC asked the officials to put in their bestefforts and ensure adequate stocks of N 95 masks, personal protectiveequipment, triple layer masks and other equipments.

Later, he visitedGovernment Hospital, Gandhi Nagar where two people were under quarantine. Heenquired into the arrangements being put in place to face any eventuality andwas informed that teams were ready to trace the contact lists, if any.
