Azad to address workers’ convention in Jammu on Feb 16

Leader of Opposition (LoP) in RajyaSabha, Ghulam Nabi Azad will address a booth level workers’ convention in Jammu on February 16, Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) chief, GA Mir told the party leaders during a meeting held here in Jammu on Wednesday.

The meeting took stock of the preparations of the Congress party for the forthcoming elections to the LokSabha and Assembly in the State and asked the party leaders to activate the Congress cadre for making the booth level workers’ convention a huge success.

   

During the meeting, GA Mir called upon the leaders and activists to invite and ensure all booth level workers to attend the convention to educate the party workers about various achievements of the party in the country in general and State in particular during the UPA-I and UPA-II in order to counter the “false propaganda” of the BJP on various fronts.  

He said that Congress has the credit of bringing the nation to the present levels of progress and prosperity on all fronts.

“The party workers have to be apprised of the numerous achievements of the party and the failures of BJP led government, especially the weakening of the various institutions of democracy in the country by the Modi led government in order to counter false claims of the BJP in the wake of upcoming elections,” Mir said.

Prominent among those attended the meeting include RigzinJora, Mula Ram, MadanLal Sharma, Tara Chand, Raman Bhalla, Sham Lal Sharma, MS Niaz, RS Chib, S Gurmukh Singh, SumanBhagat, KantaBhan, Ravinder Sharma, Rajnish Sharma, Thakur Balwan Singh, Thakur Manmohan Singh, YogeshSawhney, Shah NawajChoudhary, Namrata Sharma, FaqirNath, Manjit Singh, Vikram Malhotra, Hari Singh Chib, KrishanChanderBhagat and other party leaders.
