Be prepared for future contingencies: DGP to officers

Director general of police, Dilbag Singh, Wednesday visited Sher-i-Kashmir police academy, here in Udhampur.

During his visit, he addressed a darbar of trainees and interacted with the officers, besides, reviewing different facilities being provided to the trainees.  

   

In his address, the DGP impressed upon the officers and other personnel to be prepared for future contingencies and said, “We need to put all resources in use to create a secure environment in the state. Pakistan-sponsored militants are trying to disrupt peace and order in the state, but like the past, their attempts are bound to fail.”

While addressing the trainees, the DGP emphasized upon them to have a proactive approach and be focused. He exhorted upon the trainees to be prepared for all eventualities and directed the training staff to sensitize them. He also impressed upon the trainees to increase their level of patience and competence while dealing with different situations and said that they always need to be motivated, physically as well as mentally. 

Meanwhile, the DGP was briefed about the functioning of the academy by director SKPA, Sulaiman Salaria. He informed that the batches are in advance stage of training.

Besides, the director SKPA, DIG Udhampur-Reasi range, Suleman Choudhary, SSP Udhampur, Rajiv Omprakash, other senior officers of SKPA Udhampur and 700 trainees were present on the occasion.

Later on, the DGP also chaired a meeting to review the overall security, law and order and working of police department.
