BJP hits out at Azad

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday lashed out at senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad for alleging that party misused official machinery during the recent Rajya Sabha polls.

In a statement here the BJP spokesman Khalid Jehangir said: “Had BJP misused official machinery Azad would not have won the RS polls.”

Azad tried to malign the image of IPS officers by alleging that they were intimidating legislators to vote for BJP candidates. “BJP wants to tell Azad sahib that our party doesn’t believe in corruption and unfair means.BJP ensured free and fair assembly elections in the state and also made sure that RS polls are held in a transparent manner,” he said.

Jehangir said that Congress ruined the country and the various scams which came to fore during its regime are an ample proof of it. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has changed the very concept of governance and has made everyone accountable,” he said.

The BJP spokesman said that Azad should remain assured about the fact that the present regime has shunned all the practices which were followed by the Congress led government and with each passing day their “misdeeds” are coming to fore and law is taking its course.
