BJP MLAs should resign, pave way for dissolution of assembly, fresh polls: Davinder Rana

National Conference provincial president Jammu, Davinder Singh Rana on Sunday said Amit Shah has admitted failure of their own government in Jammu and Kashmir and appealed to all the BJP MLAs from Jammu to voluntary resign and pave way for dissolution of present assembly for fresh elections.

“He (Shah) had done a daring job by admitting before the nation that in Jammu and Kashmir BJP miserably failed to do anything in the last three years,” said Rana while addressing a press conference here. “When BJP-PDP formed an alliance, we said that it’s an unholy alliance but BJP people then claimed that it is an alliance for national interest. Now after pulling out from government due to own failures, the party again claimed that it’s in national interest. We fail to understand the definition of BJP’s national interest. Jammu had trusted BJP but in return got only disappointment.”

“NC always believes in upholding best of the democratic practices and for regaining people confidence present assembly should be dissolved,” he said, inviting BJP members to voluntary put papers “as their own leader give them certificates of failure during the Jammu rally.”

“Democracy rules from the mandate of people and this alliance (BJP-PDP) by the admission of Amit Shah has failed the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” Rana said. “After getting performance cards by own leader (Amit Shah) the 25 MLAs of BJP should be first to resign to pave way for dissolution of assembly and ensure re-election.”

“As courageous statesmen, local BJP leaders should also go back to people and tell them that they have failed,” said Rana. He said that the situation is worst in Kashmir. “We appealed Governor to dissolve the assembly and restore normalcy,” he said.
