BJP seeks compensation to all PaK-displaced people

Bhartiya Janata Party state spokesperson Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo Monday appealed to the Jammu and Kashmir government to release a one-time compensation of Rs 5.5 lakh to all the people displaced from Pakistan-administered Kashmir (PaK).

Chrungoo issued the statement while interacting with adelegation of PaK displaced people, here at BJP headquarters. Jag Mohan Gupta,RC Gupta, Vidya Bhushan Gupta and KD Gupta were part of the delegation.

   

“A group 460 families, whose cases were registered in Punjabor other places was initially settled by the Government of India. All of themfiled claims after completing all the formalities, but their cases have notbeen considered on the ground that they were registered outside the state,”Chrungoo said.”This group had come to the home state andsettled at Jammu. Some of them have also been serving in different departmentsof the state government and are now state government pensioners. They are thebonafide state subjects,” he said.
