BORDER TENSION: Govts fail to ensure adequate measures for affected people, alleges Congress

Expressing grave concern about the overall situation, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) on Wednesday said that a war like situation prevails along international border and LoC due to intense shelling by Pakistan during the past couple of days, while the state and Centre governments have utterly failed to deal with the grim situation especially to ensure adequate safety, security, required relief measures for the affective people. 

 Speaking to media persons  ,JKPCC senior leaders Raman Bhalla ,chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, Manjit Singh and Vikram Malhotra expressed serious concern over the highly grim situation all along border and LoC and strongly condemned Pakistan for resorting to mischief and misadventure during holy month of Ramadhan, when Government of India has announced halting of all operations in view of the sanctity of  period, while Pakistan is least bothered  and resorting to heavy shelling on civilian areas leading to causalities of around 11 persons besides serious injuries to over 40 persons during past couple of days starting day before the visit of Prime Minister to the state. 

Thousands of people had to run for safety in safer areas mostly with their relatives or known families in the absence of any adequate rescue and relief measures and temporary shelters,camps by the  government without any facilities.

 They expressed deep grief and sorrow with families of those martyred and sympathies with those injured.

 The government was found totally lax and failure to provide sufficient measures including ambulances services and affected people are protesting over it against the state government, alleged Congress leaders. 

Earlier, a team of senior leaders visited shelling affected areas to take stock of the situation and meet the affected population besides personally condole the death of civilians in Pak firing and shared the grief on behalf of entire rank and file of the party.
