BSF hoists tricolour on Indo-Pak border at Octroi BoP

Border Security Force (BSF) today hoisted one of the largest tricolour along the International Border at BSF Border Out Post (BoP) Octroi.

The flag (30 and 20 feet flag) was hoisted by IG BSF Jammu Frontier, which is considered as one of the tallest flags in the Jammu region.

   

IG BSF Jammu before hoisting the flag at BoPOctroi, unfurled the National Flag at BSF headquarters in Jammu.

IG BSF wished the border men and their families on the occasion. He also wished the people of Jammu and extended his warm greetings on behalf of Border Security Force.

The hoisting of the flag at Octroi was possible because of sponsorship of Lupin Foundation, J&K tourism and Administration. Inauguration of 131 feet National Flag at Border out Post (BoP) Octroi would serve as an important landmark for the people visiting the Jammu Border.

A colourful cultural program was organized at BSF Octroi to mark the 72nd year of Republic of India. Cultural performances by BSF troopers, Regional Outrich Bureau, J&K Tourism, Harman Dance Institute,  local cultural artists  school children and BSF Bhangra team was given at the venue. The IG thanked the Lupin Foundation, local administration, teachers and all participants of the cultural program.

The program was attended by IG, BSF, Jammu, NS Jamwal, DIG, Surjit Singh, DIG SK Singh, DIG HariLal, Commandant Ajay Suryavanshi, and other senior officers of BSF and jawans.
