Principal Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Department (H&UDD), Dheeraj Gupta on Monday asked Municipal Commissioners of Jammu and Srinagar to complete work on slaughter houses in both the cities in this financial year. The meeting of “Slaughter House Monitoring Committee” was held to review the progress of these projects in both the capital cities.
The Principal Secretary asked the officers that every kind of modern facility should be made available in these slaughter houses so that hygienic and quality meat was provided to the consumers besides keeping check on illegal slaughtering of animals.
