Congress celebrates 136th Foundation Day in Jammu

Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) chief Ghulam Ahmad Mir Monday cautioned the people and Congress workers about the challenges posed by the “communal and divisive forces” in the country.

Presiding over the function of the 136th Foundation Day of Congress at the party headquarters in Jammu, Mir urged the Congress workers to remain committed to the fundamental ideals of the party and to make it stronger to meet the challenge.

Speaking on the occasion, former minister and JKPCC vice president Raman Bhalla said that Congress was the sole party that could meet the challenge posed by the “communal and divisive forces”.

Another former minister and JKPCC vice president Mula Ram cautioned people about the challenges posed to the basic idea of India and secularism promoted by the Congress party and asked the Congress workers to defeat the designs of “communal and divisive forces” in the country.
