Congress leader, JK NSUI President, others join JKAP

Jammu Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) on Friday suspended all political activities till March 31 in the wake of the guidelines issued by the health authorities to fight novel Coronavirus outbreak in Jammu and Kashmir.

President JKAP, Altaf Bukhari requested party activists tolend help to administration in spreading awareness about proper sanitation andsocial-distancing guidelines.

   

“Colleagues and workers are requested not to hold anyoutreach activity for the time being. Party’s Sheikhbagh office will be onlyopen for urgent work. People including party workers can contact 0194-2486668,9419001440, 9419000130 in case of emergency during this period.”

The spokesperson said the party activities shall be resumedin accordance with the new guidelines as and when issued by the healthauthorities.

Meanwhile, Namrita Sharma, state general secretary, J&KPradesh Congress Committee and Raqeeq Ahmad Khan, state president NationalStudents Union of India (NSUI), Jammu and Kashmir chapter and several otherworkers from Congress, BJP and other parties joined JKAP. Bukhari welcomed thenew entrants into the party fold saying their joining will further boost theparty.

“I hope and believe that Sharma and Khan will work togetherfor upliftment of people in their respective areas. JKAP believes in mitigatingsufferings of people in all possible ways and manner,” Bukhari said.
